  • Lime juice – 1 tsp.
  • Crushed Black Pepper – 1 tsp.
  • Dried Mix Herbs (Oregano, Thyme, Rosemary) – 1 tsp.
  • Salt to taste.
    • For coating the Fish:
  • Maida (All Purpose Flour) – 1 cup.
  • Crushed Black Pepper – 1 tsp.
  • Dried Onion Powder – 3 tbs.
  • Corn Flour – 1/4th Cup.
  • Red Chili Powder – 1 tsp.
  • Dried Garlic Powder – One and Half tbs.
  • Dried Ginger Powder – 1 tbs.
  • Salt to taste.
  • Cooking Oil -Sufficient enough for Deep frying the fish.

Method:

  • Take a large mixing bowl or plate. Place the fish on it.
  • Add Lime juice, salt to taste, 1 tsp of crushed black pepper powder, dried mix herbs on the fish. Give it a nice mix and allow it to marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  • Take another large flat plate or utensil. Add Maida, 1 tsp of crushed black pepper, dried onion powder, corn flour, red chili powder, dried garlic powder, dried ginger powder, salt to taste, and mix it properly.
  • Place the marinated fish one by one on the Maida / spice mix powders and roll it over so that the spiced Maida is sticks on the fish and coated properly. Place it in another dry plate. Do this for all the fish.
  • Take a deep frying pan or kadai. Add sufficient cooking oil in it for deep frying the fish. Heat it up. Once oil is hot, turn the flame to medium. Deep fry all the fish on medium flame.
  • Carefully place the coated fish one by one into the hot oil and fry it from all sides on medium flame until it turns golden brown. Remove it on a kitchen tissue so that excess oil is absorbed by it.
  • Do the above process for all the Maida coated fish.
