We visited Global Fusion Restaurant to celebrate on of my friend’s Birthday.  This is situated at Sakinaka, Mumbai inside Times Square Mall on second floor.   It’s open from 12 noon to 3:30 pm and later 7 pm to 12 midnight.

As you enter the restaurant you are transported to a completely different zone.
I loved the ambience. It has the right amount of darkness and light. Gives a very intimate and divine feeling. The food is a buffet and they have a really good spread.
However we were dissapointed with the service and quality of the food.  Unlike other Buffet restaurants, Global Fusion has a different concept of serving starters.  We need to go the the Starter counter and pick up small chits on which the starters’ name are mentioned.  Pick them and come back to your table and wait for waiters to take these slips.  Then after a long wait, you are served starters on your table.  They have variety of starters on menu, but the only one I liked was Chop Kebab.

At 11:00 pm when we reached the main course counter, almost all the food was over and they were not topping up the buffets even though there were many people still waiting to have main course.  One such example was waiting for Mutton Ghee roast at buffet counter. We were told this dish is coming.  After multiple reminder and prolong waiting, a dish was topped up on thhis Mutton Ghee roast buffet. And to my surprise this dish was not the original Mutton Ghee roast gravy which was present.  The colour itself was different and taste too was not the same.  We complaint the Restaurant Manager and the Chef.  But they didn’t seem apologitic.

If you’re a sushi lover, you have variety of sushis. The portion size is not too much of starters.
The ambience is great, it’s huge and has a beautiful pond right in the middle with some pretty koi swimming in there. Also, the place being overcrowded most of them were over.
Another disappointment in the entire spread were the desserts.  They had a huge variety but lacked the taste. Also, the place being overcrowded most of them were over.
Overall, it’s a good place to visit atleast one and if you have a huge appetite, you definitely need to visit.  The cost for two would be around Rs. 3000/- during weekends.
